The twenty Ninth Edition

The 29th FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 12-22  Feb, 2011 with   Mohamad Haidari  as  secretary of the festival in Tehran , Astana Ashrafieh, Bojnourd, Bandar Anzali, Rasht, Karaj, Gorgan and Lahijan.

From February 5 to 10, provincial Fajr divisions were held in Alborz, North Khorasan, Golestan and Gilan Provinces with the participation of the Directorate General of Islamic Culture and Guidance.

 Morteza Atabaki designed the official poster of  the 27th FITF.

The venues were as follows: Theater City Complex, Sangelaj Theater complex, Molavi Hall, Artists Forum, Mehr  Hall,  Iranshahr Theater Complex, Mehrab Hall,  Khaneh Namyesh in Theater Office, Vahdat Hall and Ferdowsi Hall , Raazi Culture Center.

 Street Section: area of City Theater Complex,  Bagh Honar Park, Laleh Park and parking of  Vahdat Hall .

Play Reading Section: Namayesh Workshop in The City Theater complex

Revolution Pardeh-khani Section:  City Theater Complex,  Molavai Hall and Vahdat Hall

Pardeh -Khani is a new section which added to the festival. Pardeh-khani is a kind of Naghali, in that form Naghal tells the story based on the pictures.

The number of performances in the various sections is as follows: 20 shows in Review section 2011( including a co-production of Germany and Iran), 17 shows in International section 16 Works in the Perspective of Iranian Theater in 2010, 9 shows in New Experiment section,  13 shows in Festival of Festivals section,  23 shows in Guest Section, 12 shows in selected production of Theater Festivals , 15 works of competition- International section5 works from Italy, 3 works from Germany, 1 work from Switzerland, 1 work from Poland, 1 work from Greece, 1 work from Czech, 1 work from Estonia, 1 work from South Korea and 1 work from China),25 works in the street section , 12 works in the production of drama and  play reading section ,  14  works in  Fadjr Province Section) and 5  shows . 

Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini (Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Hamid Shah-Abadi (Deputy Minister of Art of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the time) and Hossein Parsaie (Director of Performing Arts) , Mohamad Haidari ( Secretary of Festival) had sent messages to the festival.

10 daily Bulletins were published by management of   Amin Azimi. The   Book of the 29th FITF had been published.  

5  play  books, ,  some books such “Postmodernism and Performance” and  “Art of  Performance” were published.

Some events were held during the 29th FITF included : 5 Workshops at Artists Forum, City Theater Complex and  Molavi Hall,   photos Exhibition at  Artists Forum , Posters  Exhibition at  Artists Forum were held.

Mohammad Ali Keshavarz, Farideh Sepah Mansour, Mahmoud Azizi and Yadollah Aghaabasi were honored.

The Second  Iran theater market was managed by Ali Arzi on the second floor of Vahdat Hall.

The 29th FITF included competitive sections:

International Competition: Music, Stage Design, Female Acting, Male Acting, Director and Grand Prix and special Jury Award.

Street Section : Music, Costume Design, Female Acting, Male Acting, Design and Idea, Directing &  Audience Award

Radio and Television Sections: Sound, Editing, Producer, Playwriting, Directing, Female Acting, Male Acting, Television Director, Art Director, light ,Photographer and Editor. Photography  and poster sections were competitive as well.

The opening ceremony of the festival was held at the City Theater Complex and the closing ceremony of Iranian theater section (photo, street, poster section) took place  at the main hall of the Iranshahr Theater Complex . The closing ceremony of the International Competition and Commemoration was held in Vahdat Hall.
