The First edition

The first  FADJR International  Theater Festival was  held  from 1-10 February ,1983 in Tehran. The secretary of festival was Taha Abd-khodai.

The venues included: City Theater Complex, Khane Namayesh, College of Fine Arts, Sangelaj Theater Complex, Ferdowsi Theater, Bahar Cultural Center (Abgineh Museum), Niavaran Cultural Center, Azadi Cultural Complex, Mehrab Hall, Museum of Contemporary Art, Molavi Hall and Vahdat Hall.

In the first  FITF, 36 plays in the competition section and 2 plays in the Taziyeh section went on stage.

The Visual Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance designed the official poster.

The festival was competitive in playwriting, directing, male acting, female acting, child and adolescent acting, paying tribute to the revolution, discussing and paying attention to the epic feature of war, and paying tribute to the culture of competitive martyrdom.
