The Second Edition

The Second FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 2-11 February ,1984 in Tehran with Taha Abd-khodai as secretary of the festival.The main venues included: City Theater Complex, Sangelaj Theater Complex, Molavi Theater, Honar Hall, Mehrab Hall, and Vahdat Hall.

21 plays in the competition section and one play in special section went on stage in the second edition.

Two shows run in Arab language : “Fortune – Telling” (Ghareatal Fenjan) in competition section and  “Hor” in special section.

The second FITF is also held nationally. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (President) and Mir Hossein Mousavi (then Prime Minister) had written messages for the festival. The special edition “Namayesh” (the second bulletin of the FADJR Theater Festival) has been published.

The poster for the festival was designed by Abbas Saaranj from Visual Arts Center at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The second edition of the festival hosted six specialized meetings.

The festival was competitive in the following fields: playwriting, directing, male acting, female acting, high concept of martyrdom, Paying attention to Basij in defense of their beliefs, the dimensions of the global war against Islam, addressing social issues in the Islamic Republic of Iran, invaluable artistic endeavors in the war zone, and the Special Sepah Pasdaran Guards Award. During this festival, the judgment of the playwriting section is based on the plays that performed.
