The Seventh Festival
The Seventh FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 1-12 February, 1989 in five cities for the first time. Tehran, Shahrod, Kerman, Isfahan and Mashahd hosted the festival. Ali Montazeri was the secretary of the festival . Morteza Momayez, Mohammad Vojdani and Hassan Motaghi designed the official poster. The festival took place at City Theater Complex, Khaneh Namayesh, Azadi Culture Center, Molavai Theater , Mehrab Theater,Vahdat Hall, Sangelaj Theater Complex and Honar Hall.
8 plays in special section, 17 plays in competition section, 4 plays in side section, 6 shows in the children section, 5 shows in the puppet section, 9 works in Film-Theater section and 7 shows in the traditional section run in the festival. Puppets and Film-Theater section has been one of the innovations of this edition. In Film- theater section, 3 works from the Soviet Union participated in the seventh Festival.
Mohammad Khatami, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of sent a message to the festival.
A decade-long exhibition of the performing arts center has been held at Vahdat Hall.
The festival had ten daily bulletin with Naser Bozorgmehr management.
The festival was competitive in following Playwriting, Directing, Male Acting, Female Acting, Child and Adolescent Acting, Stage Design, Music and Poster Design (for the first time)
During this festival, the judgment of the playwriting section was based on the plays that performed. Also, “volumetric composition” competition section was held for the first time and Hassan Motaghi was selected as the winner.
