The Twenty and Third Edition

The 23th  FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 20-30 Jan, 2005 with  Farhad Mohanded-poor  as  secretary of the festival. The 23th FITF was uncompetitive edition.

Saaed Meshki and Reza  Abedini  designed the official poster of  the 23th FITF.

The main venues included:

Stage Section: City Theater Complex, Sangelaj Theater Complex, Molavi Hall, Koochak Hall, Khaneh Theater ,  Khorshid Hall, Noo Hall, Vahdat Hall and  Honar Hall

Shabih Khani Section:outdoor of  City Theater Complex

Video-Theater section: Tajrobeh Hall at Artists Forum

Play Reading section:Goftego Hall at Artists Forum

The number of performances in the various sections is as follows: 14 works in Foreign Stage Section(2 works from Germany, 2 works from Poland, 2 works from France, 1 Iranian-German co- production work, 1 work from Holland, 1 work from Armenia, 1 work from Canada, 1 work from Japan, 1 work from England and 1 work co- production of Scotland and Palestine),   61 shows in      Iranian Stage Section, 18works in Review Section,  31 shows in Street Theater section,10 works in Shabih Khani Section  , 7 works in Video-Theater Section, 15 works in play reading section and   7 works in Experimental- Performance Section.

 The festival added new section:Experimental- Performance .

A number of celebrities and authorities sent messages to the festival : Ahmad Masjid Jamei (Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Hamad Hossein –Imani- Khoshkhoo (Deputy of Art Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the time) and Khosrow Neshan (Festival Director), Mahmoud Ostad Mohammad, Ezatollah Entezami, Mansour Brahimi, Mohammad Jamalpour, Khosrow Hakim- Rabet, Fakhri Khorvash, Fakhri Khoroush, Davood Daneshwar, Mohammad Rahmanian, Davood Rashidi, Akbar Zanjanpour, Hossein Salimi, Reza Saberi, Hossein Ali Tabatabai, Mahmood Azizi, Behrooz Gharibpour, Reza Karamrezaei, Jamshid Laayegh, Mehdi Motevaseli and Hossein Nouri, Klaus Pieman, Peter Chalkovsky, Kafiska Subzic, Jane Ferrer, Kevin Reese Cummings, Dieter kummel, Erikard Gearling, Sean McMahan and Helena Waldman.

10 daily Bulletins was published by management of  Jalil Akbari-Sehat. The  special issue had been published  and three books was published as well.  “Naghd Theater” -Special  issue of The National Theater Critics Association - was published in 5 issues.

At the 23th FITF  some events were held such as Iranian and World Theater Conversation at City Theater complex and Artists Forum, Theater Systems  conference , Brontë Sisters Night Photo Exhibition had been held.

Celebration of Mahin Abbasi Taleghani (Oskooie), Reza Karamrezaei, Iraj Rad, Ali Montazeri Moghadam, Mohammad Jamalpour, Mehdi Motevaseli and Gholamhossein Nouri -Nekah (Hossein Nouri) was organized.

  The closing ceremony  took place at Vahdat Hall.
