The Twenty and Fourth Festival
The 24th FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 20-30 Jan, 2006 with Hossein Mosafer- Astaneh as secretary of the festival. The 24th FITF was uncompetitive edition.
Siamak Ehsaie and Davood Mantegh designed the official poster of the 24th FITF.
The venues were as follows:
Stage Section: City Theater Complex, Sangelaj Theater Complex, Molavi Hall, Ferdowsi Hall, Noo Hall, Vahdat Hall and Honar Hall.
Street Section: HonarGarden in Artists Forum, Park Danshjoo, Rahahan park, Park Shahr, Laleh park (Flower Market), Mellat park, Khayyam Park, Theater City, Fadak Culture House, Ferdowsi culture House, Bahman Cultural Center, Shafaq Cultural Center, the area of Molavi and Vahdat hall
The number of performances in the various sections is as follows: 5 shows in Production 2005 section, 17 works in Foreign Stage Section (5 works from Germany, 1 work from Spain, 1 work from Turkmenistan, one Iranian-French co- production, 1 work from Hungary, 1 work from Serbia, 1 work from Croatia, 1 work from Russia, 1 work from the Netherlands, One show from Slovenia, one work from Syria, one work from Switzerland, one show from Romania and one work from Azerbaijan), 16 works in Selected Production 2005/ Tehran, 12 shows in Selected Theater of provinces Section, 4 shows in Experimental Section , 6 works in Selected Thesis’s of Tehran Art Faculties, 26 shows in Street Theater section , 2 works in Play Reading of Brecht Conference, 11 works in Films on Brecht Homage (9 works from Germany, 1 work from Italy and one co-production from Germany and the Netherlands).
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (President), Gholam Ali Haddad Adel (Head of Parliament), Mohammad Hossein Saffar -Harandi (Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Mohammad Hossein Imani- Khoshkhoo (Deputy of Art Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance) , Hossein Parsaie (Director of the Performing Arts) and Hossein Mosafer Astana (Festival Secretary) had sent messages to the festival.
10 daily Bulletins was published by management of kaivan Kasirian. The Book of the 24th FAITF had been published under supervision of Kaivan Kasirian and three books were published as well. “Naghd Theater” -Special issue of The National Theater Critics Association - was published under supervision of Behzad Sedighi.
At the 24th FITF some events were held such Co-Production Theater Speech, Mask Exhibition by Ali Asghar Khatibzadeh in City Theater complex, 10 Workshop and Brecht Retro Conference had been held.
Celebration of Jaber Anasori, Hossein Kasbian, Saeed Keshan- Fallah and Mohammad Charmshir was organized.
Since the 24th FITF was non-competitive, Theater Society, Street Theater Society, and Khorasan Artists' Association were chosen the best one in all section.
