The Twenty and Sixth Edition
The 26th FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 6-16 Feb, 2008 with Majid Sarsangi as secretary of the festival.
Mohamad Fadavi designed the official poster of the 26th FITF. Arash Tanhaie designed posters of Contemporary Theater International Seminar Contemporary Criticism, twenty-five Year Exhibition of Poster Theater of Iran, International Eastern Theater Seminar and Theater Meetings.
The venues were as follows: Theater City Complex, Sangelaj Theater complex, Molavi Hall, Artists Forum, Honar culture center , Khanevadeh Culture center , Daneshjoo Culture Center, Salman Farsi Center, Shahid Mofateh Center, Tehran Province Education Organization ( Farhang Hall), Imam Ali Hall, Hor Center , Shahid Molavi Hall, Ibn Sina Cultural Center, Banoo Cultural Center, Khavaran Cultural Center, Dokhtaran Cultural Center, Salamat Cultural Center, Tabiat Cultural Center, Noor culture House, (Mehr Hall) Hoze Honari, Honar University (Farabi Hall), Children and Youth Intellectual Center (Golestan & Bostanl Hall), Osveh Artistic Cultural Complex (Hall No.1), Fine Arts Campus Tehran University, Cinema Theater School (Pelatoo Markazi), Bahman Cultural Center, Mehrab Hall, Tehran Youth Artistic Cultural Complex (Municipal Hall of District 11), Laleh Park, Vahdat Hall, Vadat Hall and Honar Hall
Street Section: City Park, Mellat Park, Fadak Park (Khanevadeh Cultural Center), Vali Asr Park (Vola Cultural Center), Andisheh Park (School Cultural Center), Sadeghieh Metro Station, Imam Khomeini Metro Station, Qeytarijeh Park and Etemad Park.
Play Reading Section: Cafeteria of City Theater Complex
Radio and T.V shows Section: Artists Forum, Honar Hall and Honar Culture Center.
The number of performances in the various sections is as follows: 20 shows in Review section, 18 shows in International section (6 works from Iran, 2 works from Switzerland, 1 work from Poland, 1 work from France, 1 work from Armenia, 1 work from Russia, 1 work from Germany, one Iran and France, one Iran and Indian co-production, one Iran-Mexico co-production and one Iran-Italy- protugal and Korea co- production), 8 Works in the Perspective of Iranian Theater in 2008, 9 works in Student-Experiment section, 4 shows in University- Experiment section, 25 shows in selected production of Theater Festivals . 3 shows in Islamic Revolution special section s, 4 shows in International special section (from Iran, China, Vietnam and Singapore), 31 works in Street Theater section , 8 works in Playwriting section , 38 works in radio and television section (8 works from television, 4 stage plays, 6 radio shows, 2 audiovisuals and 18 works from student theater), and 28 works in Inclusive theater section(6 shows in street section, 10 in the children and youth adult section, 6 in the army section and 6 in the police section) . Inclusive Theater and Perspective of Iranian Theater added in this edition.
Mohammad Hossein Safar-Harandi (Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Mohammad Hossein Imani -Khoshkhoo (Deputy Minister of Art of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the time) and Hossein Parsaie (Director of Performing Arts) had sent messages to the festival.
9 daily Bulletins was published by management of Babak Faraji. The Book of the 26th FAITF had been published. “Naghd Theater” -Special issue of The National Theater Critics Association - was published under supervision of Behzad Sedigh. A collection of play reading section were published as well.
Some events were held during the 26th FITF included : 2 Seminars in Artists Forum and Sangelaj Theater complex, 5 Specialized Sessions in Faculty of Theater and Cinema ,Honar University, Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch and Artists Forum, 5 Workshops in Artists A review of street performances in Khaneh Theater, Exhibition of 25 years Iranian Poster Theater
Celebration of Akbar Zanjanpour, Hassan Khojasteh, Hossein Mosafer -Astaneh, Gulab Adineh and Mahmoud Azizi was organized.
The 26th FITF included competitive sections:
The selected Works, playwrighting, Directing, Male Acting, Female Acting, Stage Design, Music and Radio and Television Works in Voice, Effect, Producer, Playwriting, Directing, Female Acting, Male Acting, TV Director, Art Director And the scene image.
During this festival, the judgment of the playwriting section was based on the plays that performed.
