Message from the artistic director of the 43rd FITF

The Fadjr International Theater Festival is a feast for the performing arts

The artistic director of the 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival described this cultural and artistic event as a festive celebration for the theater and performing arts and expressed hope to witness the well-being of those active in the field of theater.

According to Iran Theater, quoting the public relations of the 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival, the text of Kheyrollah Taghyanipour 's message is as follows:

"In the name of God,

When we talk about the art of theater, we are talking about the universe of existence and life. The world of theater encompasses a breadth as vast as humanity itself and is equally unknown. Today, the actions of a theater artist go beyond the findings, necessities, and theories of higher educational institutions; it is their perspective, their personal understanding, and their practical analysis that define 'today's theater.' In this context, the myths, legends, beliefs, and rituals of every ethnicity are the most important dramatic resources and the beautiful images of performance, and our dear Iran is rich in this cultural wealth.

Festival events are merely an opportunity for reflection—a reflection on a year of theater, understanding shortcomings and priorities, recognizing talents and those overlooked, witnessing boldness and lessons learned, and providing a comprehensive view of what exists and a lesson for those responsible for how it should be.

The Fadjr Festival is not limited to the presentation of theatrical works; playwrights, theater photographers, advertising designers, researchers, writers, stage and costume designers, and many others all participate in this grand artistic feast. For this reason, we must refer to the International Fadjr Theater Festival as a festive celebration of Iranian theater.

I feel it is my duty to thank all those who are passionate about the greatness of theater and have stood by me during this festival; even though we all owe much to theater, and it comes to life through its audience, every step taken to honor theater is an inherent obligation.

Hope for bright days for theater, hope for the well-being of theater artists, hope for the globalization of Iranian theater, hope for the glorious international presence of the Fadjr Festival, and hope for the prosperity of the economy and life of theater and its practitioners. God willing."

The 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival will be held from January 22nd to February 2nd 2025, under the presidency of Kheyrollah Taghyanipour.
