Bahram Ebrahimi:
The Fadjr Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the world

Bahram Ebrahimi is an actor in the play “Hedwig,” which is competing in the stage section at this Fadjr Theater Festival.

He considers Fadjr to be one of the oldest festivals in the world, and a good opportunity to discover young talents.

Bahram Ebrahimi referred to his collaboration with Nader Borhani Marand: "Nader was away from the theater for nearly eight years, but we were never unaware of each other and we would see each other more or less and work together indirectly. Hedwig was a rewrite or adaptation of Ibsen's play "The Wild Duck with Nader Borhani Marand's touch and I loved it when I read and joined the group for the performance.”

He continued: "Ibsen's views are far from Nader Borhani Marand's view in this play. Ibsen's characters in this play are completely black or white and there is no gray character. While "Hedwig" has gray characters and this view is remarkable."

The artist added: "A role without a challenge is not good at all. At least for me,as an actor is not very attractive and I prefer to play roles that no one else can perform. Playing gray roles requires more precision,I think playing a positive or negative role is not much different for an actor."
Pointing to the importance of holding educational workshops at the theater festival, Ebrahimi said: "We always face a shortage of time at festivals, But making the most of a festival's limited time is a challenge., and I think that this year,  artistic director of festival and the executive team have tried to have positive workshops in a limited time.

He continued: "Due to the large number of performances and more performance facilities in Tehran, we always see a gap between Tehran's theater and the other cities. This concentration of educational facilities in Tehran may be a wake-up call for young people in these one- or two-day workshops to take learning, studying, watching movies, listening to music, etc. more seriously."
