Iraqi Writer and director ,Mohammed Abdul Hameed Abdul Hussen on Iranian artists and 43rd Fadjr Festival

Iraqi writer and director of “Dejavo”, Mohammed Abdul Hameed Abdul Hussen who attends 43rd Fadjr believes that the works, form, and choreography of Iranian artists are very professional.
This Iraqi artist hopes that he can make co-production with Iranians artists, Iran Theater reports.
Mohammed Abdul Hameed Abdul Hussen talkes with Iran Theater about his experience of attending the Fadjr Festival.
He explains that his show is based on a historical event from the contemporary era: "In 2014, ISIS forces carried out a mass murder of an estimated 1,095 to 1,700 unarmed Shia military students at Speicher Air Base in Tikrit, Iraq. This event took place over a 24-hour period, with ISIS releasing images of the massacre to incite fear."
He goes on to say: "Resistance is a familiar word in our culture and for the Iranian. In this play, we hear the voices of mothers who are still searching for their children, just like mothers who are still searching for their loved ones after about thirty years due to the war between the Baath regime and Iran. Children who were martyred, but we continue their path. Our goal is the new generation to tell them that despite this amount of ISIS brutality, we are still alive and resisting."
“We used body language to perform this show to better connect with audiences around the world,” he explains.
Abdul Hossein refers to the physical performances of Iranian artists: " I have seen works by Iranian performances that have been very professional. I would love to watch more performances by Iranian theater artists because I learn from them every time. But it is really unfortunate that the time I have to attend the festival is short and I cannot benefit more from the work of other groups."
He finally states: "I am honored to be able to work together with Iranian artists, especially in works based on body language, which can help convey messages more easily."
The 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival runs January 22 -February 1, 2025.
