Fadjr Theater Festival honors Uzbek theater troupe

The production team of "Birth of Lazgi" from Uzbekistan was honored in the presence of Atabek Naderi, head of the General Directorate of Dramartic Arts, and Fariduddin Nasriyev, the Uzbek ambassador to Iran, on the sidelines of the sixth day of the 43rd Fadjr International Festival.
The Birth of Lazgi is written by Shaboz Fayzullayev and directed by Askar Kholmominov went on stage at Sangelaj Theater Complex with presence of Atabak Naderi, Mozhgan Vakili (International Department Director), Fariduddin Nasriyev ( the Uzbek ambassador) on Monday, January 26,2025.
After the performance, the Uzbek ambassador to Iran said: I am glad to meet you today. First of all, I would like to thank you for watching the performance "The Birth of Lazgi". According to art historians, the Lazgi religion dates back to the Avesta period and has been inscribed on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as an element of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
He added: The development of culture and art has become one of the main priorities of state policy in Uzbekistan. So in our country, along with the Night Songs Festival many festivals are always held such as international art festivals in the fields of singing, handicrafts, folklore, the Great Silk Road, Lazgi, and the Tashkent International Film Festival. This is a noble call from Uzbekistan to the world for peace, brotherhood, and harmony. By the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in 2020, a decree was issued to establish the establishment of the Lazgi International Festival and a scientific conference on this topic every two years in the hometown of Pourya-ye Vali in the city of Khiva.
He emphasized that 2020 Lazgi International Festival hosted more than 175 artists and in 2024 Lazgi Festival 200 artists from 50 countries performed.
Atabak Naderi welcomed the Uzbek theater troupe and considered the Fadjr Theater Festival a bridge to create cultural opportunities between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Then, the "Birth of Lazgi" theater group was honored by Atabak Naderi, , Fariduddin Nasriyev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Iran, and Parisa Moqtadi at the Sangelaj Theater.
The 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival runs January 22 -February 1, 2025.
