Hadi Hejazifar: “Meeting Old Woman” Speaks about Weakness of Morality in the Society

According to public relations of 33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival, Hadi Hejazifar director of “The Visit of The Lady” who is partici[ated in the festival in Review Section said: “ The play written by Friedrich Durrenmatt was performed before by Hamid Samandarian that I’ve never seen it but I read many things about it. Master Samandarian emphasized on poverty which it can fail a society but I pointed my finger to morality which became weak. “
The director explained about playing with puppets: “We tried that our puppets be realistic ones. Actually in our work puppet has another meaning; they are symbol of people who have sold their souls and moved by somebody else.”
“On the other hand, when you define realistic atmosphere you cannot portrait weird one. If the atmosphere of our play was not based on puppet it could be difficult to show some moments like blowing to the moon. “He added.
Director of “The Visit of The Lady” also said: “Presence of puppets made the story less bitter. I liked more to warn my audience rather than show the bitterness. If I didn’t work with puppet the vent wasn’t happened.”
Hadi Hejazifar explained about presence of “The Visit of The Lady” in Fadjr Theatre Festival: “The play had some advantages. We performed as the first puppet show in City Theatre Complex’s Main Hall and this is the first puppet show which has been accepted in Fadjr Theatre Festival.”
33rd Fadjr Theatre Festival with directorship of Ardeshir Salehpour will be held from 21st January to 1st February 2015.
