Behzad Eshghi: Theatre Is A Place for Cultural and Intellectual Discourse

According to public relations of 33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival, Behzad Eshghi, director of “This Night and Every Night with Jalal” which is present in Review Section of the festival said: “Our group prepared itself for participating in Fadjr Festival after its successful performances in Rasht city but there is no change in text or cast.”
He pointed to this issue that the play was welcomed in Rasht and continued: “Art of theatre must absorb people but nowadays TV does this duty. I give special importance to audience in this play and used some things that be interesting even for general audience.”
The director explained that we have to make balance in theatre festivals and said: “Theatre had been risen from Greece festivals in ancient time so we cannot ignore these artistic events because these festivals give motivations to artists.” 
At the end, Eshghi said: “With supporting of all cultural organizations, theatre must be a place for cultural and intellectual discourse.”
