Salehpour: 33rd Fadjr International Theatre Festival Will Be Host of 118 Plays

According to public relations of Fadjr International Theater Festival, In the beginning of the press conference which was held Tuesday morning, 13th January Ardeshir Salehpour explained about the attitude of this edition of the festival which is Iranian Identity-National Theatre and said: “Theatre is a global and humanistic family so all the theatre family must be friend with each other. Fortunately, this year with all the problems and shortages in the way of theatre, artists could pass it and had an admirable attitude. “
He pointed to national and international welcoming of theatre artists from the festival and said: “118 works participated in the festival which 106 of them are Iranian and 12 ones are international. Also among them 29 ones are outdoor theatre, 77 ones are stage theatres. 61 plays are provincials and 45 ones from Tehran.”
Head of Iran dramatic arts center explained about different sections of the festival and said: “New Generation, Regions, New Theatres, Outdoor, Review, Guest, International, Radio Theatre, Workshop and Conference. Also producing dramatic texts and play writing are other parts of the festival. In theatre photography section a book of accepted works will be published too.”
Ardeshir Salehpour answered to reporters’ question in continue of the press conference. 
He answered to some criticisms about designing the poster of the festival and said: “Determined concepts which we wanted were shown in the poster but Yarta Yaran , the poster designer wasn’t successful in performance, so we gave an opportunity for all the designers to give their new ideas until 15th January.”
The playwright, director and professor answered to the reporters about the budget of the festival which is 600,000 dollars and continued: “Our primary budget was 3 billion and 600 millions which wasn’t afforded. We tried to provide all the needs of the festival with economizing. “
