“Theatre Criticism Specialist group” created in Jan of 2017. The administrator of the mentioned group is Amin Azimi who is active as critic, researcher and university instructor. Theatre Criticism made up of a group of professional critics who are members in Critics and Writers Society which is one of the societies in “Iranian Theatre Forum” and “National society of Iran Theatre” and also some independent instructors, scholars and young critics. The aim of this group is to analyze and study present plays of 35th Fadjr International Theatre Festival.
Objectives:
1. To use all the capacity of selected persons in Iran’s theatre Criticism without supporting any special group or having any non academic prospects.
2. To create live examples, written or oral in different parts of festival and vastly present them in medias based on the following items:
a.To have descriptive and analytical view instead of only judgmental views.
b. To care for morality and respect fair literature in evaluating works.
c. To improve audiences theatrical knowledge and aesthetics through criticizing.
d. To apply clear methodology of strength and weakness of plays.
e. To prevent imposing any critical theories and their deliberate attaching to the works.
f. To avoid redundancy and briefness in criticism and to move through qualified frame work of written and oral.
3. To follow self-critical and simultaneous criticism to understand the problems and difficulties of contemporary theatre in Iran.
4. To publish research book after ending of festival and present selected criticism and to show the way and strategy of 35th Fadjr Theatre Festival.
Finally, we are hopeful to show a real view of strength and weakness in 35th Fadjr International Theatre Festival and to improve Iran’s contemporary theatre and promoting Iranian art and culture.
