29th International Fadjr Theatre Festival announcement- part one

Director’s Notation:
29th International Fadjre Theatre Festival will be held in different parts in Tehran and other state centers, simultaneous with the jubilee of Islamic Revolution victory 6-15 Feb. with the goal of making a background for exchange and experience between inner and foreigner artists.
Scientific and research view, drastic tent to the native traits and also producing plays with contemporary social views, reflecting high social valor, emphasize on the development and gradation of provincial Theatre and discovering young and unknown talents, translation and exposition of new and effective methods along with un-centralization with the goal of partnership with subjective parts are among the most important points in the 29th International Fadjr Theatre Festival.
We hope to get valuable experiences by the company of all artists, educated people and media staff.

1.Reviewing Iran Theatre in 2010
Holding group of 29th International Fadjr Theatre Festival with the goal of giving a view of Iran Theatre in last one year, in the shape of performed plays will held Iran Theatre review part in 2009-2010
All the theatre groups in the country can demand for participation in this part. 
Conditions: 
All the plays in this part have to be performed in one of the public amphitheatres, dependent to the dramatic arts center or any other cultural organization in Tehran at least 15 performances, and 5 in provinces, sending reliable documentary in proof of requested points is necessary.
- Applicant plays in this part will be selected by the vote of selection committee through watching live performances or recorded tapes from applicant plays.
- It is necessary for applicant groups to fulfill related forms and send them to the secretariat of festival before ending their public performance; these groups also can send recorded tape of their performance and announce their preparation for attending in this part of festival. 
- Selected plays in this part will be announced in Jan. 2011 
- Selected groups in this part will be supported a cost around 40 million Rials (this cost will be accorded to the selection committee distinguish and all the scholarship scales of festival.)
- This part will be held in an un- contest form
- 15 plays will be accepted in this part, at most. 
- Performances of accepted plays will be done in one of the applicant provinces in the condition of companionship of chief office of Islamic culture of that province. 

2. States Theatre
Selection committee will select bona fide plays after evaluating and surveying on introduced plays which are selected ones from state festivals. 
Conditions: 
- Selected groups in this part will be supported a cost around 30/000/000 Rials (this cost will be accorded to the selection committee distinguish and all the scholarship scales of festival.)
- Dramatic Arts Center, according to the vote of holding committee of festival, will support public performance in Tehran (at most 3 weeks) for 3 brilliant plays in this part. 
- Dramatic Arts Center will be responsible for the time, place and the scholarship style.

3. Festival of Festivals
With the goal of persuading selected plays from national festivals and also making available to gat to a panorama of these festivals, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival, will have this part of selected plays from national festivals.
Conditions:
- It is necessary for applicant groups to be introduced by the judge committee or holding committee of each trusty national festival as selected play in that related festival.( each festival only can introduce one play)
- Time zone of these festivals has to be from Jan 2009 till Jan. 2010
- Accepted groups have to be introduced to the secretariat of the International Fadjre festival, through an official letter from holding organization of that festival. This introduction along with related forms has to be sending to the secretariat of the Fadjre festival in 5 days after the end of that festival.
- 12 plays will be accepted in this part, at most
- Selected groups in this part will be supported a cost around 20/000/000 Rials (this cost will be accorded to the selection committee distinguish and all the scholarship scales of festival.)
- This part will be held in an un- contest form
- This part of festival can be held in applicant stats in condition of cooperation of chief office of Islamic culture of that state.

4. Outdoor Theatre 
With the goal of promoting humanity plays which are performable in public places and also getting to a practical true definition of outdoor theatre based on national culture, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival, will hold outdoor Theatre. 
Conditions:
- Outdoor Theatre part will be held in two forms:
A) Selected plays from national festival of outdoor theatre (native and traditional plays are in premiership)
B) Outdoor theatres with the subjects of Islamic revolution and religious contents 
- It is necessary for applicant groups to send their attendance application attached with play sketch at most till 29 Dec. 2010
- Accepted sketches will be announced till 25 Sep. 2010 
- Seeing and selecting plays which have accepted sketches will be done in the dates 6 Dec. 2010 till 16 Dec. 2010 
- Accepted plays in this part will be announced in 29 Dec. 2010
- 27 plays will be accepted in all two parts of outdoor Theatre part (15 through national outdoor Theatre Festival introduction, 12 in specific part) 
- Selected groups in this part will be supported a cost around 8/000/000 Rials (this cost will be accorded to the selection committee distinguish and all the scholarship scales of festival.)
- Outdoor Theatre part in specific part (subjects of Islamic revolution and religious contents) will be held in contest form.
- Success of performance in relating with audiences, making the best use of atmosphere, making the best use of outdoor theatre capacities, least use of materials, and the valence of play’s massage according to the moral themes are among the most important scales in selecting plays in this part.

5. New Experiences part 
With the goal of having new experiences and also making opportunity for more creativeness in theatre zone, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival, will hold New Experience part.
Conditions: 
- It is necessary for applicant groups to send their application forms attached with play sketch and also performance style which is mentioned in their play, at most till the date 16 Aug. 2010
- Accepted play sketches will be announced till 16 Sep. 2010
- Applicant plays in this part must not have either public performance or festival attendance 
- Seeing and selecting plays which have accepted sketches will be done in the dates 16 Nov. 2010 till 26 Nov. 2010 
- Accepted plays in this part will be announced in 8 Dec. 2010
- 9 plays are the most acceptance capacity in this part (Tehran and States)
- Experimental and Educational tends, new dramatic creativeness, least use of scene equipments and emphasize on performing root of play are the most important scales in selecting plays in this part.
- Public performance of plays in this part is depend on survey and acceptance of selection committee of related amphitheatres 
- Selected groups in this part will be supported a cost around 30/000/000 Rials (this cost will be accorded to the selection committee distinguish and all the scholarship scales of festival.)
- This part will be held in an un- contest form
- If the play is accepted for public performance, scholarship will be enumerated as first payment 

6. Panorama of Iran Theatre in 2011
With the goal of producing new Iran Theatre plays and also providing public performance need of theatre in next year, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival will hold panorama of Iran Theatre in 2011.
Conditions: 
- Only Iranian plays will be accepted, these plays must not have any kind of public performance in Tehran or other cities of the country.
- Social subjects along with precious religious and native legacy of country, cultural- continental and native traits and also having attendance to the spiritual world of humans are among the most important items in this part.
- It is necessary for applicant groups to send their application forms attached with 3 copies of playwritte accompanied with a Word file of it on the CD, at most till the date 28 Aug. 2010
- Surveying result on texts in this part will be announced till 3 Oct. 2010 
- Seeing and selecting plays which their playwritte is accepted will be from 29 Nov. 2010 till 9 Dec. 2010 
- Accepted groups in this part will be announced till 20 Dec. 2010 
- Only 20 plays will be accepted in this part (Tehran and states) at most
- Final accepted plays in this part are at premiership for public performance 
- Selected groups in this part will be supported a cost around 60/000/000 Rials (this cost will be accorded to the selection committee distinguish and all the scholarship scales of festival.)
- If the play is accepted for public performance, scholarship will be enumerated as first payment 
- This part will be held in an un- contest form
- Holding committee of festival won’t accept any play sketch in this part

7. International Theatre contest
With the goal of making a background for cultural exchange between inner and foreigner theatre groups and also in order to give a good theatre pattern for young artists, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival will hold international theatre contest. 
Conditions: 
- Selection committee of festival will select proper plays for this part among all the accepted plays in other parts of festival. These Selected groups can attend in their own specific part and also be in International Theatre contest. 
- Selected groups in this part will be announced in Dec 2010
- Attendance condition for foreigner groups in this part will be announced in International announcement.

8- Photo and poster of theatre competition and exhibition part 
- With the goal of supporting propaganda staff zone of theatre, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival will hold this part of festival.
Conditions: 
- Applicants in this part, along with fulfilling application forms, can send us a top of 5 works.
- There is a deadline for accepting application forms and works which is continued till 6 Dec. 2010 
- This part will be hold in contest form
- Time zone for works which can be accepted in this part is a time between Feb. 2010 and Feb. 2011
- Having the name of play, play writer, director, date and performance place on the back of each sent works is necessary. 
- It is necessary for applicants in photo part to send photo files with a clarity at least 300 dpi, along with printed photos in dimension at least 20*30 cm 
- Selected posters from International festivals and performances will be exhibited beside Iranian works exhibition. 
- It is necessary for applicants in poster part to send their poster in real dimension along with its file in (tiff) Form

9. Iranian Theatre Market 
With the goal of introducing and exchanging successful Iranian Theatre Groups and also in order to be shown in International events, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival will hold second Iranian Theatre Market. 
Conditions: 
- Having a qualified recorded tape with English subtitle and also having an English catalogue for guests is necessary
- Theatre groups with foreign attendance or communion International product are in premiership
- Other attendance condition in second Iranian Theatre Market will be announced in future 

10- Awarded by public
With the goal of attending the vote of audience and in order to turn artist’s attention in to the cerebral, cultural and spiritual needs of their audience, holding committee of 29th International Fadjre festival along with holding festival will ask audiences’ vote about each play and selected play by public will be announced in final ceremony of festival 
- Awarded play in this part, moreover than getting festival’s statue, will be in premiership for public performance.
Second part of announcement contains:
1- International specific
2- Producing play write and reading play
3- Research 
4- Educational workshops and International professional meetings
5- Radio and television drama 
These parts’ conditions will be soon announced after consulting with artists and critics 
Public conditions for different parts 
1- Each artist only can attend in one of the performing parts of festival
2- According to all the prior problems in timing and schematization in last Fadjre festivals, festival committee take responsibility of just 2 different attendance of each actor or actress in two different plays, and no more
3- Official charter of play writer or translator of each play is necessary 
4- Festival committee is in charge of determining time and performance place of each play according to festival’s equipments
5- Festival committee is in charge of all the costs related to transforming, homing and reception of accepted state and foreigner groups
6- Festival committee doesn’t have any responsibility about costs of making decors, sewing clothes or printing propaganda materials of any play, it just gives routine services like fixing decors and preparing scene
7- Asked evidences which applicant groups have to deliver:
A)Abstract of the play ( no more than 200 words)
B)Names of actors and actresses and all the other members of group with a brief explanation of each person’s responsibility in group
C)Brief explanation of professional back ground Artistic works of director (no more than 150 words)
D)One qualified photo of director
E) Two qualified photos of present performances 
8-All the sent evidences, photo, posters, play writes, recorded tapes won’t be back
9- It is necessary for applicants in survey, photo exhibition and poster parts to send a brief abstract of her or his background and along with a photo and abstract of its article 
10- Festival committee according to the recognition of selection committee of each part and based on occasions which comes below will support accepted groups 
A)Urgent needs of scene like decor, clothes, music …
B)The number of groups member in order to support mention needs 
C)Distance dimension for state groups in order to support transport costs
D)Qualification level and number of performances in festival
11- All the applicants in each part of festival will make themselves responsible for obeying festival’s protocol by sending their application forms, disobeying these protocols, spatially timing list, will cause that group’s omission 
12- If any subject is not mentioned in this announcement, that subject will be announced through inquiring applicant for attendance in this festival and also through any other decision of holding committee of festival
