Poster and Photo Section Opens at Fadjr Fest

“The poster and photo section of the festival means choosing a new thought or an idea that should comprehend the concept of a specific art work, not to mention that the photographer must be such a talented person to be able to capture the moment that is also indicating the whole notion of the festival”, said Hamid Shahabadi referring to the artists’ and media people’s enthusiastic welcome as reported by News headquarter of Fadjr Festival.
Deputy of Artistic Affairs continued: “Posters must be designed in a way to express the implication of the director and the play writer. However in recent years we have been experiencing a tremendous improvement in the section of poster. Every poster alone has been like a mirror reflecting the play, and by thoughts and notions considered in designing posters, a temporary and short-time section has changed into a serious one.” 
He reassured that “one the characteristic of a poster is to be understood by those who have not seen the play and to resemble the mentality of the director and its play writer.”
The deputy of the Guidance and Culture Minster also mentioned the photo exhibition of this round of Fadjr festival and said: “due to some preferences and considerations there are few limitations for our photographers. Therefore taking a professional photo in theatre is not simple and is different. The photographer must be familiar with the theatre and collect the best moments in order to catch the most suitable one.”
Shahabadi insisted on the necessity to pay more attention on this field and stated: “Occasionally what makes a play lasting is its poster and photos. Thus these are the photos that expresses the bitter and sweet moments of a play.”
Ghader Ashena (director general of Dramatic Arts) also expressed his gratitude to the organizers of this section and declared: “the exhibition enjoyed a good quality and in both parts of photo and poster, I saw impressive and conspicuous works in which there has been a great emphasis on theme, color, composition, content and the message.”
He added: “The good quality art works suggest the directors’ special attention to the poster and photos of the festival. Moreover the difference between Tehran’s and other cities’ works has been reducing yearly. There has been an outstanding progress in the content and numbers of works.”
Saeed Keshan-Fallah (Secretary of the 31st Fadjr Festival), Morteza Goudarzi Dibaj (manager of Visual Art Center of Hoze Honari), Rasoul Olia-Zadeh (director of Photo Section & manager of House of Photographers in Hoze Honari), Ebrahim Hosseini (director of Poster Section), Mehdi Shafiee (Financial and Official Deputy of General Department of Dramatic Arts) were among those attending the opening ceremony of the Poster and Photo section.
