Having done these kind of publishing, Namaiesh publications (as the official publisher of the Performance Arts Center) has added different topics of plays, translations and research books to the Iranian books data base.
Every year at the time of International Fajr theatre Festival, several books have been published. Every year in the text production section of International Fajr Festival, a collection of the performed plays would be published in order to improve Iran’s play writing and to introduce young artists to theatrical society.
The festival’s publication and research director has announced that several research book, three play collections and two independent plays being published in 28th Theatre Festival.
“Iranian theatre bazaar” and “Iran’s contemporary theatre” in English will also be published. “The book of photo” which is a collection of posters and photos from the plays would be available for attendees.
Another book that will be published at the time of upcoming Festival is the collection of Frashid Ebrahimin’s critics. This book not only concludes some educational aspects, but also it has analytical view on the important plays after revolution. Plus, a collection from street and regional plays would also be published.
As it was mentioned earlier, one of the effective acts of publishing center of festival is publishing the plays. This year, the selected plays of “Ayoob Aghakhani” would be available as a book. “Four seasons of Iranian theaters” and a collection of sacred defense plays are some of other publications of this year.
“This story is written by Iranians” by Alireza Naderi and another play by Salma Salamati which both are award winning plays of last year, would be published this year.
As a conclusion, it sould be said that publication at the time of festival is avaluable event which should become an organized event in theatre society. It is essential that professors, lecturers and artist participate in this event not only by their publications but also with their critics and useful suggestions.
