The story of a girl who marries a well

Ali Ghazi who participated 33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival in street theater section from Masjedsoleiman with the play named “The Rain’s Bride”, introduced his play the combination of two different customs of Bakhtiari tribe.

According to public relations of 33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival, writer and director of” The Rain’s Bride” said:” This play is the combination of two different customs of bakhtiari tribe about draught and lack of rain which had been done when there was no rain and in the dry seasons.”
Ali Ghazi continued:” One of these customs is the rain ceremony and the other is the one that a bride marries a well .In this play a person who wears black clothes and has the wild animals’ horn is the symbol of draught’s devil. Then a song in Bakhtiari’s tongue is performed.”
The director of this street theater also added:” The second custom is the bride who marries a well and the child of this marriage is the rain.”
He talked about the importance of theatrical customs and ceremonies and said: “Unfortunately, traditional plays are forgotten because of the modernity. It is a very good point to remind these kinds of theater in different occasions like Fadjr Theater Festival and present them.
