Comparison between ISIS and Moguls in a Play in Fadjr Theatre Festival

Soroush Taheri with “Pearl” play has a historical look to Moguls attack in Iran New Theatres in of 33rd Fadjr International Theatre Festival.
In a received report from public relations of 33rd Fadjr Theatre Festival, Soroush Taheri explained about “Pearl” play: “The play is about the history of Iran, in fact Moguls attack to Iran in 7th Century. While my M.A thesis was on reflection of Moguls Attack on playwrights after Islamic Republic of iran with focusing on two works of Bahram Beyzayi, this play was written by my master Dr. Ghotbeddin Sadeghi for my thesis. “Pearl” hasn’t been published before.”
“I didn’t work just based on the play and I tried to update it and have a modern look to it. In fact, I bridged between the events in that time with today ISIS’s crimes. Neither murder nor criminal in every time period from Moguls attack to today ones is not defendable. “ He assured.
Maneli Hosseinpour, Seyed Ali Mousavian, Payam Mir Mostafa, Kianoush Javadol-eslami and Fereshteh Rezayi are actors of “Pearl”.
33rd Fadjr Theatre Festival with directorship of Ardeshir Salehpour will be held from 21st January to 1st February 2015.
