Eastern poetry beside Scottish violence/Hossein Noshir comes to Fadjr Festival with "Macbeth"
Hossein Noshir who is present in new generation section this year with"Macbeth", says that he combines this tragedy with the eastern poetry.
According to public relations of 33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival, Hossein Noshir explained about " Macbeth": "we added some poetry of eastern philosophy to this tragedy of shakespeare.This play, has eastern issues and it is better to face the conetxt of the English text and the performance with an eastern view.Therefore we used some Iranian play techniques like "Kachalak bazi"."
He also added: "Macbeth of our play is aware of what will happen for him exactly.This Scottish general is not going to be the person the witches predicted, but he has no choice to be the person Shakespeare has written."
The director emphasized:"we tried to be close to Shakespeare's text and keep the poetry and the rythme. Rythme and meter are so important in this play that we used metronome in rehearsals. All the actors'movements are on the basis of a special meter and made a general rythme in acting, performing and dialogues. We can say "Macbeth" is a performance full of mathematics, machinery and eastern background."
33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival will be held from 1st to 12th Bahman managed by Ardeshir Salehpour.
