Interview with Nima Dehghan, theatre director
A festival with international standards

Nima Dehghan, theatre director, said about the impact of Fadjr Theatre Festival on the whole country theatre: I think Fadjr Festival has no impact on Iran Theatre and it is completely an independent festival and we just can see the wholeness of country theatre in it.
He stated his opinion about the place of Fadjr Festival: since I have been in some European festivals, if we ignore great festivals like Edinburgh and Paris, Fadjr Festival has some international standards.
He said: shaping a national theatre shouldn't be Fadjr festival's aim, we don't have to have extra expectations from it; Fadjr is only an event which helps great artists and new theatre ideas to be assembled in one place, so it is wrong to expect it to shape a national theatre, national theatre has to be shaped during the year and it won't happen without our support of writers and directors. Our theatre has to be supported by individuals to be able to grow.
