The 17th Edition
The 17th FADJR International Theater Festival was held from 27 Jan to -4 Feb , 1999 with Hossein Salimi as secretary of the festival.
Elham Moazemi designed the official poster of FITF.
The number of performances in the various sections is as follows: 28 works in the competition section, 30 works in street section, 29 works in the special section, 16 works in Festival of Festivals section, 10 works in International section(5 shows from Germany, one show from Tajikistan, one show from Turkmenistan, one work from Italy, one work from Armenia and one work from India). International Section was added in this edition.
The festival features the programs of the 17th FITF. Four plays were reviewed in this edition.
The New World Theater conference was held at the Carpet Museum Community Hall.
The festival gave awards in these fields: play, Playwriting, directing, actress, actor, Outline of cultural and religious themes , Scene design, music, brochure design and idea (in the street section), . The opening ceremony took place at City Theater Complex . The National Theater Critics Association announced their winners as well. During this festival, the judgment of the playwriting section was based on the plays that performed.
